Fruit & Vegetables – Brush

Fruit & Vegetable Brushes

Fruit and Vegetable brushes are manufactured with premium quality materials to meet the demands of the food processing industry. Let us show you the right brush application for washing, waxing and sorting.

Spiral Wound Coil Brushes – Transverse

These coil wound brushes provide excellent rotation of fruit and vegetable products in transverse wash equipment where the product is bumped over the rotating brushes from the in-feed conveyor. Typical uses are washing, waxing and peeling of potatoes, carrots, onions, root crop and citrus. Available in straight trim or Hi-Lo trim. Brush cores are available in steel, stainless steel or aluminium construction.

Spiral Wound Coil Brushes – Longitudinal

These brushes are manufactured with the brush filament tilted or angled in one direction to aide in moving the product along the length of the brush bed. Typically the wash equipment is a U-bed, J-bed or circular-360 degree configuration. These brushes are available to fit O.E.M specifications. Mixing of various sizes of materials in one brush allows for both washing and peeling of product or a single size for a specific application. FDA-Food Grade epoxy is used to secure and seal the filament in the channel. The epoxy will prevent the filament from shifting under high rotational speeds. Brush cores are available in steel, stainless steel or aluminium construction. Polyurethane drive bushings are available.

Tufted Brushes On Poly – Core

These brushes are manufactured with the brush filament tufted into a high density Poly-core. Many types of brush filament and various patterns are available in straight trim or Hi-Lo trim. Typical uses are washing and waxing of apples, pears, peaches and citrus product through transverse wash equipment. Steel, Zinc alloy cast, and Polyurethane drive ends are available.

Sizer/Singulator Brushes On Poly – Core

These brushes are manufactured with the brush filament tufted into a high density Poly-core. Split cores are available to reduce changeover time. Many types of brush filament and various patterns are available in straight trim or step trim. Typical uses are sizing, letting down and singulating of apples, pears, peaches and citrus product. Steel, Zinc alloy cast, and Polyurethane drive ends are available.

Harvesting Coil Brushes

These open pitch coil wound brushes are used for harvesting, screening, de-vining, conveying and wind rowing of product. Brush filaments are heavy diameter nylon and polyester materials to operate under the most rigorous environments.

Strip Brushes And Tufted Plates

These brushes are typically used for spreading and directing of product across processing conveyors. Available in metal strip or plastic block backing. Many types of brush filament are available for all applications.
